HI Mike! Thanks for the post! I do have a flickr account but I forgot to open it. But I’ll try to open it again and add more photos on it.

Michael Falk
Thanks for updating me Wynna, I recently just opened one myself. It’s pretty nice and useful to have.

Oh no! I also have that kind of mentality. I know I must back it up soon but laziness always gets in the way. haha
But thank God for Facebook because at least its like a temporary back up for my photos. […] -

@demonyika (Wynna), thanks for sharing your great idea. Photos can always bring back some memories and that’s a fine way to jump start the creative process. On a sadder note, make sure you backup all those […]

Hi Mike! I have thought about that calendar also and that’s a good way to get something worked up.

Hi Michael. Love teh new look. Its cleaner and has a more refreshing look withteh blues being the base color. But maybe we can have the link bars (Home, Community, Forums etc) smaller and more streamlined? Its not urgent but just something to consider as layout improvements. Thanks

Gear Up and Play
@bedouindreamer Thanks Elmer, I’m glad you like it
I think something needs to be done with the navigation as well, color too. It looks kind of out of place so I will be working on it to match the site more. I’m still not done with the logo size, placement, or even concept, not sure I like it. I do like the background headers however
-
Gear Up and Play
@bedouindreamer, so what do you think, like is that what you meant by streamlined more? I took off the rounded edges as it didn’t work with the square header image and then I narrowed the bar some. What’s your opinion?

I like this blog because it is a journey to mosty unspoilt destinations. Of course the more we talk about it the more they become not so secret anymore, the challenge is to get there first. I’m luck to have been to one of them – Panglao Island in Bohol Philippines. I will post my expereince there later.…[Read more]

Hi guys. I know I still owe you my review on the iMapMyHike app for iPhone and iPad but work is taking its toll and I am not able to take this for a test run. I am going to cheat here and give you a link to a blog that reviewed 18 hiking applications that you might find useful in your hikes. I know it won’t make up for my lackluster performance…[Read more]

This is not a travel blog but I find this service by google very useful for us to discover places and other bloggers writing about their experiences. I am subscribed to Google Alerts and it sends me daily email of ”adventure travel” blogs. I selected this keyword when I set up my account. You should all try it, if you haven’t done so!

Thanks for sharing that with us Elmer!

Egypt is one of those mysterious and mystical places that I would like to visit and to know that there is diving, yes and it’s not in the sand dunes! Is a big plus. I found this blog and the photos are fabulous. http://www.livetravelmountains.com/destinations/a-beach-holiday-in-africa/comment-page-1/#comment-152545

I love reading and while I did read plenty of travel blogs I didn’t really follow them as much until I began with this website. So far I’ve come up with quite a collection of really interesting blogs. If I were to pick a favorite: No Place to Be I love their tone and hilarious adventures plus they interview a lot of other travel bloggers so I…[Read more]

That’s great Tiffany! Consider giving them a shout out by linking to them in Elmer’s Group, Travel Blogs we Love
You know, it would be cool if one day we were able to come up with some creative fun ideas to engage other travel bloggers like the interview but something truly unique…hmm-
Michael Falk
If you do link to them I would start a new forum topic in that group as posting in that groups activity feed will probably not be as effective. Then we could have them all in one spot
-
Tiffany
Oh alright I just posted it in the group, I’ll add the link too so everyone can see how awesome they are lol…that is a cool idea Michael there’s a lot of travel bloggers that do interviews it’d be neat to be a little creative with it, right now I’m coming up kinda blank lol but I’ll keep it in mind
-

yeah, me too, blank at the moment but lets keep the idea kicking around in the back of our heads haha

Speaking of interviews in travel blogs, I haven’t tried it but can we embed or post media to the site? It could be video footage of locations on something like national geographic for those who are feeling extra creative and would like to produce these types of content?
-

I would love to see someone produce this type of content! As far as sharing it, the community does support embeds from the following sites: YouTube (only public videos – “unlisted” and “private” videos will not embed), Vimeo, DailyMotion, blip.tv, Flickr (both videos and images), Viddler, Hulu, Qik, Revision3, Scribd, Photobucket, PollDaddy,…[Read more]

Fellas I am trying out a hiking app called iMapMyHike. I will post updates in the next few days of my experience.
