With only a month until my college graduation, life remained open. Doors had closed. Countless teaching jobs applied for and subsequently rejected from. Nothing like an English degree and a string of rejections to get your future started! Then an invitation from two good friends: “Come to London with us!” In a matter of three days, I accepted and made a decision that has now shaped the current course of my life. With six months of living in London behind me, I then headed to the antipodes of New Zealand, where I worked my way around the country for a year and did my best not to spend every dollar I earned on the myriad adventure activities available! I now await this September, when I will return to London and begin pursuing my MA in Travel Writing from Kingston University.
