Hey guys, just wanted some opinions on the best camera for traveling light.  I want something that don’t attract to much attention, packs away easily and is light.  I still want to be able to manually set aperture and shutter speed however like on my dslr.  Good Picture Quality a must!  Any thoughts

Hey, I do not own a recent point and shoot but I hear good things about Canon’s Powershot S100.  It’s pocket sized and takes a really nice picture and has a lot of the features a dslr would have.  Complete TV, AV, M modes, etc.  I looked at it once but every time I think about dropping money I figure I rather purchase a new lens for my big monster camera haha

I just bought the canon s100 and it’s fantastic. It takes really sharp photos and have capabilities to shoot manually and adjust aperture and shutter speed like a dslr’s. It’s light and the black one does not attract attention because it looks like a normal point and shoot. I’m also going to use this for my new underwater cam setup. Video is also full HD. So happy with it!

I am now obsessing on the new Samsung Galaxy Camera. I think I am now addicted to cameras. I just bought a Canon 7D setup last Feb with 15-85mm kit, 100-400 4.0 IS, 8-20mm wide angle with fisheye…I might need some rehabilitation soon :(
