Disney- Making Dreams Come True All Across The Globe

Disney, oh how I love you. From a fascinated child replaying Cinderella and daydreaming of meeting my own Prince Charming to a young adult captivated by the magic and majestic greatness of the Disney theme parks. All in all Disney is my secret obsession (I even have a tiara tattooed to the back of my neck mostly because of my obsession with the Disney Princesses.) and my goal is to travel to each and every location of Disney’s theme parks.  Altogether there are 5 Disney resorts around the globe (and one more coming soon!) as of now I have been to the 2 in the US. There is:

  • Disneyland Resort- California, USA; Glide through the skies of the Golden State while on Soarin’ Over California or if you’re more into the horrifying Hollywood scene be prepared for The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s California Adventure Park. Continue throughout the resort to Disneyland Park and you will find a little bit for everyone; a mysterious Indiana Jones Adventure, an exploring out-of-this-world adventure at Space Mountain and/or some flight lessons with America’s beloved elephant on Dumbo the Flying Elephant.
  • Walt Disney World Resort- Florida, USA; Travel through and experience 11 different cultural nations within Epcot, race down one of the tallest and fastest waterslides in the World at Disney’s Blizzard Beach, be captivated by the wide range of extraordinary animals and safari attractions at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park, get a glimpse of behind-the-scene action of Hollywood at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and fall in love with all your favorite characters where fairytales do exist at Disney’s  Magic Kingdom Park.
  •  Disneyland Resort Paris- Paris, France; Say Bonjour to all the wonder and excitement within Europe’s only Disney location. We all know It’s a Small World but on this cheerful musical tour in Fantasyland you’ll be singing and dancing along to the multinational dolls around the park, travel through space a second time on Space Mountain: Mission 2, prepare yourself for the wildest train ride on Big Thunder Mountain and ‘Ahoy Mateys!’ live out that childhood fantasy of becoming a pirate on the Pirates of the Caribbean thrill ride.
  • Hong Kong Disneyland Resort- Hong Kong, China; Be a part of Andy’s toy box with Woody and Buzz in Toy Story land where you feel like the size of a toy yourself, discover the futuristic realm of out-of-this-world rollercoasters and alien friends strolling through  Tomorrowland, create your own jungle adventure in Adventureland like Tarzan and attend a magical Broadway-like performance based on “The Lion King”, visit all your favorite Disney Princesses within their castles in Fantasyland and wrap up your visit with a stroll down Main Street, U.S.A. and experience one of their exciting parades.
  • Tokyo Disney Resort- Tokyo, Japan; This is the newest Disney location and has made quite an impression already. Altogether there are seven theme parks within this Disney resort including Critter Country where you can experience the thrills of Splash Mountain, Westernland that hosts the old western feel as well as the majestic Mark Twain Riverboat,  Adventureland lets you show off your daring personality in the Jungle Cruise, meet all your favorite Disney characters and visit the magic of all that makes Disney what it is in Fantasyland, get a little crazy with Chip and Dale or be Minnie’s guest at her quaint cottage in Toontown, fast forward into a land of space adventure and aliens in Tomorrowland and get a little taste of history from around the world in World Bazaar where you can browse through the Disney Gallery or take a tour by the Omnibus.

Coming soon:  Shanghai Disney Resort!

Now perhaps visiting every Disney location isn’t on everyone’s bucket list of things to do but come on, this is the Happiest Place on Earth and it’s now available 5 different places around the globe, how cool is that?! It’s time to cater to that inner child of yours and let loose with all the excitement and magic that Disney offers to all their guests. Whoever has been to at least one of their grand resorts knows what I’m talking about, admit it you’d go again right?!

I've always said if I could write a book about my life I would start with my very first vacation. At that very moment I knew exactly what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, travel the world. Some may call it a fool's dream but I call it my life's purpose. A great quote that I live by is, "The purpose of life is a life of purpose." -Robert Byrne

I’ve been to Disneyland HK in 2010. I was surprised that even at my age I was still able to enjoy the magic of Disney. I especially enjoyed the shows like Lion King, Little Mermaid and 4D theatre. I was equally amazed by the fashion sense of park goers in HK…4 inch heels, chifon dresses, full suits…you will see what I mean when I post my HK theme park fashion adventure blog in a few weeks’ time…it’s crazy. Reading your post makes me want to go back to Disney this year and this time I will wear my Prada little black dress, Berkin and Gucci pumps! Hope I get discovered as a new Disney character hahahahaha :)

Aw I’m glad you had a great time Elmer! Disney brings out the magic in all of us. I’m surprised how the people were dressing over there the fashion sense in Florida and Cali was the typical touristy scene so thanks for keeping me in the loop! I’ll definitely be looking forward to your upcoming post!
ps. I have a few insiders that work at Disney World, keep up the fashion scene and I’ll give them a good word for you about being the next Disney character ;)

No one ever enjoyed Disney World as much as my grandmother. When we went into the Haunted Mansion, she was in one of the little carts with my father. There is a place where the carts pass in front of a mirror and it shows a monster sitting with you in the cart. My father is a large man, so instead it showed the monster super-imposed on his reflection. My grandma howled with laughter and said, “Paul, you don’t look so good.”

When I was a kid my mum always promised we would go to disney one day but we never did as we never had enough cash. It was something we both dreamed about and always looked forward to.

I have just got a new job and been stashing some cash for a while, I think her vow oof us both going to disney is something she will have put to the back of her mind now I am 30 but I am going to get us tickets this year and see how she reacts!

Disney land really is magic when you are a kid. I remember a few things, first, I remember exactly what Jenny said, that ghost or monster appearing in your cart. Then the Pirates cove where there are pirates and burning houses and skeletons but someone told me they took that out, shame.. I also remember going on space mountain after being told it was a really big deal and thinking how brave I was for doing it. I was really young haha. Also, I remember “It’s a small world” but only because I felt like it was a old people ride and I should go on it to please my parents.

@Poppy, sounds like a great thing to do! Let us know her reaction :)

That’s one of my biggest wish and hopefully I can save a lot to buy me a ticket to Disneyland HK. :)

Jenny, your grandmother sounds like a blast! I’d love to go to Disney with her lol

Poppy, that is SO sweet! Disney is quite expensive to save up for but I really hope you and your mum get to enjoy the magic soon I’m sure your mum will be ecstatic! There’s something there for EVERY age so let me know how that works out :)

Michael, you are too funny. But I have to admit, I felt pretty brave going on the Tower of Terror when I was younger and then a few years later I still had that big head when I went back on it haha.

Wynna, aww you HAVE to go to at least one Disney resort one day I promise you won’t regret it ;) Quite a few of my friends have had internships at Disney World so that is a hugee wish of mine after hearing all their stories.

Wow, that’s a cool option Tiffany. I can apply as a dishwasher or something like that on one of those Disney resorts then. :)

Yea it’s pretty easy to get in as a college intern if you’re a decent student or at least that’s what it seems. I have a few friends that are ride operators and servers while a couple of them were able to get a pretty nice intern in one of the Disney offices. Having Disney as a reference and Mickey as your boss has got to be the coolest! However, expect to work your butt off lol there’s millions of people that visit Disney each day, imagine how many dishes that would be!

aw EJ I hope you and your family go sometime soon, I’ll bet you will have just as much as your son ;) Not sure if they do this at every Disney resort but I know in FL they have free admission on your birthday so you can save some money right then :)

lol Wynna yea there’s an orientation and Mickey comes in there and does a little speech about working at Disney and stuff. It’s really cool to see all the behind the scenes stuff, when I went to visit my best friend during her internship I got to see the wardrobe room where there’s a HUGE selection of all the outfits the workers wear and all the accessories it’s really neat.
