Compensation: All pay is 100% Commission based and you receive 100% of your Adsense earnings. You may be familiar with other sites offering Revenue sharing with their users that submit posts (hubpages, digitalpoint). They generally offer anywhere from 50-80%. So why do we offer 100%?
First off, we are just starting out. Oh my, did I mention we are new. Second, the 8 people we are looking to pick up at this point are not just users but rather founders. We are looking for people to take a active role in the direction and development of Gear Up and Play with a real stake at making it successful.
Where does the money come from? The money comes from advertising and you can see it right now. On each post you create there will be 3 Ad units and 1 link unit from Google Adsense. Look now at this post. At the top, before the post title is a dark bar with 4 links from google, that is 1 link unit. Under the title of each post, in the sidebar, and at the bottom is one 300×250 image or text ad. This is a Ad unit and you probably have seen them before. The adds are targeted automatically based on page content and when someone clicks the add you get paid. Warning: If you choose to jump on board and google accepts you as a publisher you can not click your own adds. They will know, you will be terminated and you will make no money.
So how much money will I make? It really depends on you and how much you write. If you write 1 article the chance of someone coming to the site and that article finding exposure is not as good as if you write 100. The good thing is as you increase your number of articles we don’t let them disappear into oblivion. Lets say two years ago you wrote a article titled “Going to Africa – what to pack?” Then today, one of your co-authors writes a story about Africa. We will automatically show your related post under a section we call “Related Posts”, really original right.
It should be easy to see that as your influence upon the site grows so does your income. Whats more is that you are creating a online presence that will continue to provide a passive income for years to come.
So How much is this going to cost me? With just a one time fee of……..OK, I AM so KIDDING. It costs you nothing. You are a partner in a design that is still uncertain as we move forward. You could make a measly 30 dollars a month or you could make hundreds, heck thousands. Its up to us.

Hi
Just found this via your post on travel writers exchange. Are you still looking for writers? What sort of revenue are they earning (on average) per post? Do you require unique content and who keeps the copyright?
Thanks
Jools
Hey Jools, here’s the quick. We were in development for some time and just now starting to network. We have opened the author platform so anyone can register and start authoring post for GUAP as long as they are approved by a editor.
My-GUAPThe Author always keeps copyright and although we prefer unique content we do not prohibit one to reproduce their content elsewhere. Likewise, if you have the rights to work published elsewhere you are free to recreate it here.
In the end it is our hope that GUAP’s Community Based Program will provide a edge over a independently run travel blog. This starts with 100% adsense revenue sharing and of course a continued effort to improve and produce a real sense of community.
At this time we do not have enough data to give you any adsense numbers. Some of our authors are still awaiting adsense approval. In all honesty I think we are measuring success in growth and development at this point and I think we are on the right track. Together we are making this happen collectively. I can tell you my highest day in earnings was just over 3 dollars and Its less most days.
Eventually i will be performing such polls and provide some average numbers in compliance with what is allowed by Google.
For now we are looking for active members to help develop this community. If things continue to develop and grow as we have planned we will likely be offering the GUAP members who were there at the start a more involved role in helping to maintain the site if they so chose.
Sorry for the delayed response but we had a massive power outage. Thanks and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have further questions.
